Chloe Handbags, chloe bag,Are you buying it? I’m not. There are a variety of ways to make a really sharp black duffle, and adding details from a bag that was popular five years ago is not among them. Nostalgia is great, but before I can have nostalgia in any meaningful way, I need for the original to go away long enough for me to miss it. That has yet to happen with the Chlo Paddington, and it seems as thouChloe Handbags, chloe baggh it never will.

I never really realized it until now, but I’ve always associated Chlo with bags made of thick, matte leather. That’s more or less been the brand’s modus operandi since the the Chloe Paddington came on the scene back in ’04. Lately, though, a bit of aesthetic change is afoot, and that’s clear with the Chlo Darla Shoulder Bag.

Shocker of all shockers: Chloe’s Spring 2011 handbags embrace New Minimalism. I’ll give you a moment to recover.

Because of the distinctive detailing around the bottom zippers, I could see this satchel being turned into lots of other bag shapes – hobos, totes, maybe even a mini crossbody. Since that appears to be a prerequisite for Chlo to continue making a bag in multiple season, I think we may be seeing the Cary bags for quite some time. I, for one, wouldn’t mind that at all.

My opinchloe bagion began to change when I saw Amanda’s review of the Chlo Leather Bow Clutch last fall and continued recently with Megs’ review of the Chlo Iris Strass Chrochet Clutch. So, I’ve been keeping my eye out for more amazing creations and have found yet another one I really enjoy.

The departure isn’t enormous, for sure, but going glossy is something of a noticeable change in direction. Plus, the last time I picked up a Chlo bag in a department store, I didn’t topple over under its weight, and that was also something of a first. So, change: good or bad? Let’s discuss.

With the exception of the duffel bag above, which also comes in a lovely shade of cement grey and will surely be embraced by celebrities and fashion people alike, the offerings from this collection are a bit underwhelming. Minimalism crosses the line to boredom very quickly in a few of these bags, but thankfully Chloe included two over-beaded evening bags to balance out the simplicity of some of the other styles. A brand really only needs one hit bag to make a collection a success, though, and it looks as though Chloe will definitely accomplish that goal for Spring 2011.

For the longest time I associated Chlo with shoulder bags. It took me a while to realize that Chlo also really knows how to make exquisite clutches. Maybe that was a bit close-minded of me. But hey, I’ve realized the error of my way and I now expect all sorts of fabulous bags from Chlo, not just what I was originally accustom to.

When I found the exclusive Chloe Marcie in brick-red leather bag with brown handles and gold hardware, all I could think about is fall. This bag has a quintessential fall appeal.

But if these bags become widely popular, are they not still It Bags, just repackaged to fit current trends? That’s probably a question that fashion marketing pros hope you won’t ask, but either way, a return to classic shapes and colors will likely be welcomed by many. Me? I’m a little bored. We have bigger photos after the jump – let us know what you think.

Our Chloe Marcie Giveaway ended a few weeks ago (winners will be announced next week). So while we wait to hear the lucky five winners be announced, let’s take a took at many of the

Can I start by telling you how much I absolutely positively love Halloween? Actually, it coincides with my love of Autumn. I live for it. One of the many reasons I am beyond thrilled about our move to NYC is because we will get to experience a true fall again. That means leaves turning, temperatures dipping, and winter knocking at the door. I just got so excited thinking about it I squealed, while sitting on a blow up mattress in our living room, because our couches are gone as so are our desks (imagine that!).

Recently I took issue with some of Chloe’s Fall 2010 runway bags, but the brand has somehow managed to redeem itself in my eyes in one fell swoop. Get on the bandwagon now, because the Chloe Cary Satchel has a ton of it-bag potential.

If you’ll think back with me to the mid-2000s, to a time when Chlo was releasing Paddingtons with giant bedazzled locks and people were snapping them up left and right, it might seem odd that Chlo Fall 2010 is so…minimalist. Spare, even. But in the past five years, as economic and social conditions have changed across the globe, so have tastes. Many critics are hailing this collection and those like it as the antidote to “It Bag” fatigue.

When trying to design a high-end bag, mixing materials can turn into a risky proposition. If too many are used, or the use of the materials has a lack of sophistication, the final product can look patchworked and cheap very, very quickly. Luckily, the Chlo Billie New Small Messenger Bag manages to stay on the right side of the line.

Jessica Alba, which prompted another look at the latest hit from Chloe. Every time I see a Chloe bag or even their logo, the initial thought that pops into my mind is the weight of the bag. Anyone who has owned the once coveted Paddington knows that the weight of the bag was a talking point. Rightfully so, as the leather of the bag was very thick and heavy and the signature padlock sent the weight of the bag over-the-top. So when we are introduced to a new Chloe bag, I have a hard time putting aside past thoughts and looking at it with a clean slate.

By constructing the main body of the bag out of leather and canvas in shades of tan, Chlo gave this design texture without adding fussiness or confusion. Keeping the shiny black patent for use as trim only gives the bag a pleasantly vintage feel and even more wardrobe versatility.

About a year and a half ago, we asked you if still had any interesting the Chloe Paddington Bag. Your responses were mixed, but that hasn’t stopped Chlo from trying to reintroduce The Little It Bag that Could back into the fashion conversation. With the release of several bags alone the lines of the Chlo Pure Paddington Duffle, it seems as though the brand’s efforts to relive the Paddington’s glory days are stronger than ever.
